Tons of Help offers £100 crisis grants to residents of Birmingham, struggling with the cost of living and the added pressures of the Christmas season.
Eligibility criteria
- Beneficiaries must be residents of Birmingham
- Applications must be submitted (on behalf of the beneficiary) by a safeguarding referee; social; healthcare; educational or legal professional known to the beneficiary
- We will not accept applications directly from beneficiaries
- Our funding is offered to support those most in need
Application process
Our fund is unfortunately not limitless and so grants will be awarded to those assessed as most in need. Please note that funds will be transferred to the referee submitting the application, on behalf of the beneficiary. All documentation must be dated within the last three months; this is necessary for our due diligence. Where the requested documentation cannot be supplied, unfortunately we will be unable to consider the application.

Why £100?
- £100 is more than anyone, no matter their circumstance will receive per week on Universal Credit.
- £100 is the most common amount sought from a payday lender – we know from our research over half of payday loans go on essential and basic expenditure such as grocery shopping.
- £100 covers the average weekly grocery spend of a household of two adults.
- £100 covers the average monthly energy, water and broadband bills of a household, combined.
